Meet & Greet

For many dog parents, leaving their furry family member for the first time can be a stressful experience. Professionally trained team goes the extra mile to calm both dogs and their parents. We’ll care for your pup as if they’re our own and ensure they have the most exciting day ever!

To be able to utilize our daycare and boarding services, all dogs must participate in the meet and greet process. The meet and greet is conducted on-site by one of our trained professionals and includes the following steps:

  • Drop off your dog in the morning, like a regular day of daycare. We will keep them for about 3 hours this day at no charge to you.
  • On a leash, your dog gets to meet with each staff member that they will be working with.
  • We will then introduce your dog to one of our kindest, most gentle pets, (they are ours, so we know how great they are!)
  • After we monitor them with one other dog, we will then introduce them to the Pack.
  • All of this is done to test temperament of your dog with other individual dogs and the play group as a whole.
  • Keep in mind that not all dogs are suited for daycare. This doesn’t mean that your dog has a problem, or is deficient in some way, it is just what it is. Facing this honestly is the best thing we can do for our customers, so we will be candid with you about whether your pet is the best fit for daycare with us, or anyone else.

Stay with us

So who can stay with us at Pack Pet Resort? Well, there are some qualifications as follows:

  • For our daycare program, all dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered to participate.
  • If you would like to board your dog, they can be intact but they will not be allowed to play with the larger play group.
  • Each animal must pass the supervised evaluation period.
  • Dogs with fleas will need to be treated as soon as they arrive, or they will not be able to stay for daycare or boarding.
  • Dogs with known aggression issues or requiring individual specialized attention can board with us, but there will be additional charges for specialized care.
  • Dogs without appropriate vaccines will not be allowed to stay with us until they have had their shots.

All dogs over 7 months of age must be spayed or neutered to participate in dog daycare.

  • Does Pack Pet Resort allow unaltered dogs to board?

Yes, unaltered dogs may stay at Pack Pet Resort but will not be able to participate in group play.

Yes, all dogs must pass a supervised evaluation with our staff prior to admittance into our dog daycare.

  • Can I bring my own dog food when my dog checks into Pack Pet Resort as an overnight guest?

  • If we forget to my dog’s food do you have food at the resort to feed him?

Yes, we have Fromm Gold available at a charge of $5.00 a day.

  • What is the Pack Pet Care Warranty?

Pack Pet Care Warranty: If your pet becomes ill or injured, or if the state of the animal’s health otherwise requires professional attention, Pack Pet Resort, in its sole discretion, may engage the services of a veterinarian or administer medicine or give other requisite attention to the animal. These services are covered under our Pet Care Warranty up to $500, with the exception of pre-existing conditions and injuries caused from altercations between family dogs when sharing an enclosure. Any medical or other expenses over and above the $500 Pet Care Warranty are the sole responsibility of the pet owner. (There is a $1 per day charge for Day Care, or a $3 per stay charge for Boarding for the Pack Pet Care Warranty.)

  • My dog has allergies to certain foods and treats. Is that a problem?

Not at all! We encourage clients with dogs who have food allergies to bring their own food and treats, which we will give to your pet as instructed.

  • My dog's food needs to be refrigerated. Is that a problem?

Not a problem. We have refrigeration capabilities for your dog’s special food.

  • Can I call to check on my dog while they are at Pack Pet Resort?

Absolutely! Of course! Please feel free to email or call us during normal business hours.

  • What if I just want to get my dog groomed without leaving them overnight?

Pack Pet resort has a full service grooming spa on site. You can leave your pet with us during our normal drop off times of 7AM thru 10AM, and pick up from 4PM thru 7PM, (or at a different time with special arrangement.) Your pet will be properly cared for while they are with us, though they will not participate in our regular daycare routine if they are only receiving grooming services.

  • Do you check for fleas?

Absolutely! We all know living in a moderate climate produces fleas and we do require that all guests use a form of flea/tick preventative. All dogs are checked for fleas and ticks prior to entering our facility. If evidence of fleas is present, Capstar will be administered ($12) so your dog can stay to board or play at daycare. Canine Advantage or Advantix ($15 under 30 pounds, $20 over 30 pounds) is available for longer term prevention. Ask about which product is better for your pet. We would be happy to treat your dog with either product.

  • Do you administer medications?

Yes, as long as they are in original packaging. For medicines required once or twice a day, there is no extra charge.

  • I have two dogs. Can they share a suite?

Yes. Family dogs are more than welcome to share a suite. North Carolina state law requires that no more than three dogs be housed in any one enclosure, so if you have more than three they will have to be split up accordingly.

  • I just adopted my dog. Can I bring her to daycare?

We do require all pets be under their current ownership for one-month prior to boarding or daycare. We can accept grooming clients who are new to their families.

  • Do you allow my dog to bring a toy or blanket with him?

Yes, as long as it is clearly labelled with your dog’s name, and we ask that you limit your dog to two items from home.

  • I have multiple dogs. Is there a discount for boarding or daycare?

Yes, rates are available online when making your reservation, or a reservation specialist can assist you.
